Job Description:
As a Mid-Level IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting IT systems, assisting with network administration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and assist with various IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide technical support to internal users and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers and databases.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect company data.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and the rollout of new software or technologies.
- Collaborate with teams to improve IT processes and efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an IT support or specialist role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, systems administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
- Experience with server management, virtualization, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Specialist (MCITP), or equivalent.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and incident response.
